We are Milan and Eva Šenkýř — husband and wife, partners in life, sharing this story together. Fly fishing isn't just a hobby for us; it's a way of living connected to the river, nature, and honest craft. Milan has spent decades by the water — sharing what he knows, tying flies, and helping others discover the beauty of this most refined form of fishing. Every catch, every fly, every piece of advice comes from years of practice — and above all, from love of the water.
Eva has been an essential part of everything we build together from the very start. Her support, patience, and care are the foundation of our work.

The Svratka is close to my heart — I was born in Vír, where the river runs through, and I've spent every childhood summer by the water. For me, the most beautiful fish has always been the grayling.
Representing the Czech Republic in the Masters category, I've brought home team gold from the World Championship (2021, Morava river), silver from the European Championship (2016, Poland), and bronze from the Vltava (2024). Competing is good — but what I enjoy even more is walking the river with someone and showing them places I've known since I was a child.

For passionate fly anglers and beginners alike — on our home river Svratka and on still waters. Season runs from April 16 to November 30.
On my guided days I put personal attention first — patient one-on-one teaching that lasts the whole day. I give each person my full attention and adapt to your level and pace. I'll explain everything calmly, give clear advice, and walk you through step by step.

Choosing a gift for a fly fisher is always tricky. A voucher from us is a piece of our fly fishing world — it can be redeemed for hand-tied flies, fly fishing gear, or a guided day on the Svratka.
Vouchers have no expiration, can be freely combined, and tailored to your wishes. We issue them electronically or in printed form and everything is always arranged personally.
My very first day fly fishing with Milan on the Svratka was wonderful. He taught me how to wade properly so I wouldn't step on the fish, where to cast, and how to read the spots where fish hold along the banks and behind obstacles.
His flies travel with me to every river I fish. The favourites — for me and the kids I teach in our fishing club — are the red-tag patterns in all sizes. We catch brown trout, rainbows, and chub on them.
I can recommend Mr Šenkýř's course with both hands. I've done it more than once and always left fully satisfied. Milan is an outstanding teacher and, above all, a great, easy-going partner who'll walk you through fly fishing from A to Z.

I'd been trying to get into fly fishing for a year. It wasn't until Milan's course that I really understood how it all works — and on top of that, fell in love with the sport. The first fish I caught as a small child was a brown trout — straight into my hands — in the stream by my grandfather's house. Over a lifetime I gathered experience on the water, devoured fishing books, travelled to competitions, and caught everything from tiny fish on the float to monsters like catfish, sturgeon, halibut, marlin, sharks… in all corners of the world.
A few years ago the circle closed and I came to the most beautiful fishing discipline — the queen of the sport — fly fishing. It was Milan who introduced me to this beauty, helped me with technique, gear, and everything that comes with it.
Because we're on the same wavelength — and fly fishing isn't only about the catch but also about protecting fish as magnificent as trout and grayling — we became real friends. Every meeting with him by the water, even just a phone call, is a precious moment in my life.
